ABOUT OUR ORGANIC PSYLLIUM HUSK:
Plantago ovata (Pysllium), also known as Indian plantain, is native to Southwest Asia, which is mainly known for its capsule fruits. These capsule fruits (the so-called psyllium seeds) have been used as food and remedies in many cultures for hundreds of years.
Above all, the properties of the outermost seed layer, the so-called epidermis, are exploited. This contains large amounts of mucilage with remarkably high swelling capacity. In the gut, psyllium husks bind water.
Our product is characterized by the exceptionally high purity of 99% pure seed coat.
- Clean: In ecologically controlled cultivation, the use of pesticides, artificial fertilizers, genetic engineering or sewage sludge is not permitted. Farming biological farming is laborious and expensive - but this is the only way to produce a cleaner product.
- Healthy: The lack of pesticides and fertilizers enables plants to achieve their actual nutritional value of vitamins and antioxidants. Research has shown that organic products have far more phytochemicals than non-organically grown products.
- Sustainable: Organic farming contributes to preserving the natural ecosystem without chemical contamination and promoting greater biodiversity. In addition, soil and water are less contaminated by chemicals - an important contribution to our future.
