Iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Those following a vegetarian or vegan diet may also need to up their iron intake through fortified foods or supplements, due to the fact that the iron found in non-meat foods is said to be less effectively absorbed.
We use ferrous gluconate as apposed to sulphate. This it because it’s easier to absorb by the body, is more natural (it’s already found in our body!) and avoids stomach problems seen in some cases with ferrous sulphate.
A POWERFUL COMBINATION
We’ve also add a combination of B vitamins to our complex which give a range benefits.
- B2 contributes to the normal functional of the nervous system, the maintenance of normal red blood cells, skin and vision. It also contributes to the normal metabolism of iron, contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- B6 contributes to the normal metabolism of protein and normal physiological function and the regulation of hormonal activity
- Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid) increases maternal collate status. Pregnant mother are advised to take Folic Acid to avoid the develop of neural tube defects.
- B12, like iron is a key vitamin that those following a vegan and vegetarian diet may need to increase through fortified foods or supplements due its lack of availability in non-meat and dairy foods.
We also added natural vitamin C as it is proven to increase the absorption of iron.
