A NATURAL AID
The skin owes its firmness and elasticity to the connective tissue. Its building blocks include collagen and elastin. A main component of the connective tissue between skin cells is Hyaluronic acid, which fills and supports it. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, hyaluronic acid is responsible for the moisture content in skin. There is a significant decrease in the hyaluronic acid content of the skin as it ages. The natural reduction of hyaluronic acid content as well as collagen production, leads to the loss of filling substance between skin cells: it’s loses it’s volume and elasticity, leading to wrinkles to develop. Hyaluronic acid is also an important component found in cartilage. It forms the main component of synovial fluid.
Hyaluronic acid is often obtained from animal tissues such as cockscombs. To produce our hyaluronic acid capsules, we only use raw materials obtained by fermentation of plant material.
In addition to the fact that our hyaluronic acid is not derived from animal substances, our product is characterized by a molecule size of 800 - 1500 kDa. ""kDa"" stands for kilodalton and describes the molecular mass of hyaluronic acid. Our molecular mass is of a size that most resembles the amount found in our body.
